The Wingerworth Wobble returned for 2025 on Saturday 8 March. Despite a few weeks of cold temperatures and rain, the weather gods were on our side, bringing us a beautiful sunny and mild March morning.
We kicked off at 10.30, with 135 runners starting the first climb up Central Drive, before heading down the road and onto the trails. It was great to see so many runners opting to splash through the ford – with some great action shots from our photographers!

First through the finish line was Luke Dan with a time of 32:50.8 with our first female, Harriet Davies crossing the line at 38:58.3.

The top three from each category were:
Male
- Luke Dan – 32:50.8
- Matthew Jones – 33:13.4
- Matt Nicholls – 33:26.5
Female
- Harriet Davies – 38:58.3
- Sarah Hill – 40:03.7
- Lorraine Murphy – 41:36.4
For our top local runners (club members) our first male to finish was Jason Lynam with a time of 37:47.4 and our first female was Andrea Coupland at 43:41.1.

All 135 participants completed the race, so well done to everyone! The full results can be found on the Webscorer website and photos on the Nicholas James Photography website.
We’re also pleased to announce that the raffle raised a massive £220 for this year’s charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and Deer Park School in Wingerworth. We’re just counting up everything else and will announce a final total very soon.
This year’s event was the same friendly, challenging (and still very muddy) Wobble, but with the support from our friends at First Light Adventure, who brought their expertise to make sure the logistics were sorted to make sure the race ran smoothly on the day. A massive thank you to Jamie and Clare for their support both in the run-up to and on race day.

Thank you as well to our army of marshals, all who gave up their Saturday mornings to help make sure everyone got round the course safely. We couldn’t do it without all your support! There was also the Deer Park School PTA, who gave up their free time to provide the school hall as our race HQ and kept our runner, spectators and marshals fed and watered.
We also had our two photographers, Nick and Taran from Nicholas James Photography, who did a brilliant job in capturing the day. And finally, thank you to The Barley Mow in Wingerworth for allowing us to use their car park and providing runners with some well-deserved pints and cobs after the race, as well as a lovely craft market to browse around!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you all back next year – keep an eye on our website and socials for details of Wingerworth Wobble 2026!
