The Wingerworth Wobble returned for 2026 on Saturday 28 February, and what a fantastic day it was! After months of wet weather making the usualmuddy trails even muddier, we were treated to a bright and mild morning.
136 runners took to the course, and as always, the ford proved a highlight of the course, with plenty of runners choosing to splash straight through, much to the delight of the photographer on the other side!

First through the finish line was Harry Nutt with a time of 31:47 with our first female, Rebecca Curtis-Hall crossing the line at 38:29.

The top three from each category were:
Male
- Harry Nutt – 32:50.8
- Matt Jackson – 33:13.4
- Samuel Wattret – 33:26.5
Female
- Rebecca Curtis-Hall – 38:58.3
- Rachel Felix – 40:03.7
- Laura Gapski – 41:36.4

All 136 participants completed the race — an incredible achievement. Well done to every one of you! Full results can be found on the results PDF on the First Light Adventure Website, and a selection of photos are available from Mike @Tarka2Images. More will be available from other photographers soon.
We’re just totting up the final total raised for this year’s charities, Ashgate Hospice and Deer Park School.
Once again, we had fantastic support from our friends at First Light Adventure, whose expertise ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. A massive thank you to Jamie and Clare for their support both in the run-up and on race day.
Thank you as well to our brilliant marshals, who gave up their Saturday morning to keep everyone safe and smiling out on the course – we couldn’t do it without you. Huge thanks also to the Deer Park School PTA for hosting us at Race HQ and keeping runners, spectators and marshals well fed and watered.
A big shout-out to our photographers out on the course capturing the action. And finally, thank you to The Barley Mow in Wingerworth for use of their car park, the well-earned post-race pints and cobs, and the lovely craft market to browse after the run.
We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back for Wingerworth Wobble 2027 – keep an eye on our website and socials for details!
